Pete is a strategic account leader with a passion for building brands and integrating partners. As mcgarrybowen’s managing director, he opened the advertising agency’s San Francisco office with line responsibilities for the Global Intel and Clorox Specialty brands. Previously, he led the account of Staples Inc. at mbNY. Prior to that, he was at BBDO for 16 years, where he ran P&G’s global Gillette personal care brands and worked on every new razor introduction from MACH3 to Fusion. Gillette provided an ideal platform to leverage Peter’s consumer understanding, strategic thinking, and innovation skills to build global billion-dollar brands. Consumer innovation like the Gillette global Champions, the digital and holistic Champions of Gaming tournament, and online body grooming virals are three major initiatives that originated under Peter’s watch.

He began his career in media at Y&R, where he learned: No matter how good the creative is, unless it finds its target, it will not have the desired impact.
